We rode 26 miles inside the Park today. The weather cooperated beautifully; it was chilly in the morning but we had blue sky all day for the highlight of our trip.
Arcadia lives up to it's reputation for scenic beauty. We took 76 pictures. The traffic was not at all bad, and once on the carriage roads it was all bikes with just a few walkers.
The 1 hour wait to get the famous popovers and lunch at Jordan Pond House was worth it.
Sand beach, the Wild Gardens of Arcadia and Thunder Hole were three of the many scenic stops along the route.
We had carriage roads all he way back to Bar Harbor, with great scenery all the way.
Tomorrow we will ride some of the remaining carriage roads in the park before catching the small ferry over to Winter Harbor, which is on the Schoodic Peninsula part of the Park.
