Greenway Tandem Ride - Day 12

We rode 46 miles from Hampton Beach, NH to Wells, Maine. Most of the riding was right along the coast. The beautiful ocean-side homes of the Hamptons were something to see.

Miles of beautiful sand beaches gave way to rocky outcrops and then back to sand.

Some very rural shaded roads again and some busy tourist towns.

Hit a pothole before lunch and broke another spoke. Sure glad I had some spares. Had to stop at a bike shop for a proper fix as I did not have the tools necessary to remove the disc brake rotor which is required to lace a new spoke properly. All fixed now.

We are now in Maine but never saw the border sign as we were probably off the main road on back road when we crossed into Maine. Tomorrow on to Portland.
